A Christmas Carol at the Players Club of Swarthmore

November 26 - December 18
Thu, Fri & Sat - 8pm
Sun - 2pm

The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater is celebrating the season with a production of the ultimate holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. But it's not your average re-telling. This version of Dickens’ timeless story was dramatized for England’s Royal Shakespeare Company by the great John Mortimer (Rumpole of the Bailey).

Audiences will still scowl at Scrooge's cold-hearted stinginess, thrill at the appearance of the famous ghosts and be warmed by Tiny Tim's famous blessing. And on the way, they'll revel in the nostalgia of old English Christmas carols and songs, which are interwoven in the story and sung by the ensemble to help set the tone and move the story along. It's the perfect way to remind ourselves of the giving spirit of the season.
