NEW School Holiday Mini Camp
Winter Survival
Tuesday, December 28, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
How would you survive the cold months? Discover survival skills used by a variety of different
animals and insects to cope with wind, rain and snow. Mini-camp hours are 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Extended care is available for $10 extra per day starting at 8:00 am and concluding at 5:00 pm.
Camp is for children 6 – 9 years old. Pre-registration required; $50 members, $55 non-members.


Christmas Hockey Clinic with Mike Casey

Hockey Clinic runs at Marple Sports Arena from Mon. Dec. 27th through Wed. Dec. 29.
Camp runs from 8:00am until 4:00 in the afternoon and includes lunch and snack for all participants.
Marple Sports Arena's very own Mike Casey will be running the clinic which is designed to hone and develop the skill-set of beginners, intermediate players, and advance players alike.
Camp is designed for players of all skill level within the 7U through 14U age groups.
Cost of camp is $150 and space is limited.

Hedgerow Holiday Camp is the Place to BE!


Join our Holiday Camp and spend the winter school break learning and performing THE SNOW QUEEN. Children will be immersed in singing and choreography while rehearsing for their roles as Icicle Soldiers and the Lady of Summer's Flower Children.


Tuition for Holiday Camp: $300
Tuition for Show Class only: $250
(Before and after camp care will be available.)

CAMP DATES: December 27th through 31st, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
SHOW CLASS DATES: December 27th through 31st from 1:00 to 3:00 PM
January 4th through 7th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM
PERFORMANCES: Saturdays from January 8th through February 26th, 11 AM

Disney On Ice Toy Story 3

Disney On Ice Toy Story 3, a live ice skating show featuring Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and other popular characters from the hit movie Toy Story 3 - as well scenes from the films Toy Story and Toy Story 2. At the Wells Fargo Center.

Winter Fest at Ice Works
Family Fun Day at Ice Works December 28th-29th Noon to 5pm. Come out and skate with Olympic skaters, skate lessons and craft activities for all.

CN Skate Palace

Fun skating sessions December 26th to January 2nd check out their website for dates and times.

Winter Fest at the Skatium
Winter fest on Sun, Jan 2nd w/ Public Skating from 12:15 - 1:45, Hockey Clinic and game exhibition from 1:55 - 2:55 pm, and complimentary group lessons from 3:05 - 5:05 pm. There will be various festivities ( i.e. face painting, lite fare and refreshments, raffles, balloon sculpting from a stilt walker, etc) throughout the day. For more information call (610)853-2226

Make-and-Take Winter Craft at Haverford Library

Looking for some fun while the kids are on school break? Stop by the Children's Room and check out our Make-and-Take Winter Craft table on Tuesday 12/28, 12/29, and 12/30!

What to expect: Check out the Make-and-Take Winter Craft table in the Children's Room any time the library is open. We'll have all the supplies you need to sit down and make a craft here in the library or take the materials home and work on it there.

This program is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

Winter Nature Hike for Families at Tyler

Wed, Dec 29, 1:00pm - 2:30pm
Grab the kids and come have fun together at Tyler. Interactive programs let you learn, create and explore nature and plants.Enjoy the winter holiday break with a day out of the house on a winter discovery walk. Search for tracks and traces of animals, insects and birds. Discover how they survive the winter. Play a game and come in and warm up with hot chocolate and cookies.

Fee is for each participant. This program is suitable for all ages. Children under 3 are free.

Museums

Dino Days at Delaware Museum of Natural History

Dig into the fascinating world of dinosaurs at the 18th annual Dino Days presented by Bank of America on Monday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 28 at the Delaware Museum of Natural History. Due to the snow the museum will be closed on Monday and will re-open on Tuesday.



Winter Adventure Camp Spotlight Soldier Experience at the National Constitution Center

Special Forces Winter Adventure Camp, children ages 6-13 can join the Center’s Special Forces to experience life as an American soldier throughout different wars in our nation’s history. Campers will learn about the importance of roll call, military drills, mail call, and uniform inspection. They also will hear the stories of courageous soldiers throughout history, including Civil War soldier Jefferson Moses and Deborah Sampson, the first known American woman to impersonate a man in order to join the Army.
Winter Adventure Camp runs from Monday, December 27 through Friday, December, 31, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $50 per camper per day and $45 per camper per day for Constitution Center members. For more information, call 215.409.6735 or email camp@constitutioncenter.org.
