The Delaware County Symphony -Ticket Giveaway




The Delaware County Symphony will perform their final chamber concert for the 2010-2011 season on Sunday May 1st at 3:00 pm. in the Meagher Theatre of the Thomas A. Bruder, Jr. Life Center at Neumann University, Aston, Pa. There is ample free parking and the Center is handicapped-accessible. This concert is special because they will feature the winner of their regional youth concerto competition. This years winner is a 16 year old cellist, Bradely Berman who will be performing the famous Boccherini Cello Concerto in B-flat Major.. About Bradley
Cellist Bradley Berman is a 16 year-old student in the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School, University Scholars Program. He began playing the cello at the age of 5, and currently studies with Gloria dePasquale. Bradley is an Advanced Study Scholarship recipient at the Settlement Music School, and performs there as a member of the Braverman String Quartet. He is Principal cellist of both the Delaware County Youth Orchestra and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. Bradley was the 1st place recipient in the Tri-County Youth Festival Competition in both 2007 (Junior Division) and 2009 (Senior Division). In 2008 and 2009 he won competitions and later performed with the Kennett Symphony, the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra, and the Ambler Symphony. He has participated in Musicopia's “Great Music, Great Houses” concerts, and in 2009 performed in the Atlantic Coast Opera Festival’s production of La Boheme.
