Thursday Evenings at the Brandywine River Museum


December 5, 12, 29, 26

The museum will remain open until 9 p.m (on Thursday Evenings in December). with holiday entertainment and programs. The restaurant will be open until 7:30 p.m. (with a special entrée) and the museum shop will be open until 9 p.m. Activities are free for members and included with museum admission unless otherwise noted.

December 5
From 7 to 8 p.m., join us for a Polar Express Read-Aloud pajama night. Children are invited to wear their pajamas as they listen to the tale of The Polar Express and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. 


From 7 to 9 p.m., meet dancers from the Pennsylvania Ballet's production of The Nutcracker.
At 7:30 p.m., enjoy a performance by Wilmington Handbell Ensemble.

December 12
From 6 to 7 p.m., listen to an amazing tale of pirates on the night before Christmas.
At 7:30 p.m., enjoy a performance by Brotherly Love, singers from the Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus.

December 19
At 6:30 p.m., discover the history of our popular holiday tradition in "Secrets of the Brandywine River Museum Railroad," presented by Steven Clarke, coordinator of model trains.
At 7:30 p.m., enjoy a performance by the Brandywine Valley Chorale.

December 26
From 5 to 7 p.m, enjoy music by pianist Rick Copes
From 6 to 7 p.m., listen to an amazing tale of pirates on the night before Christmas.
