2016 4th of July Parades,Fireworks, and Events in the Philadelphia Area

Below is a list of parades, events, and fireworks in the Delaware County area. Don't forget the Wawa Welcome America celebration in Philadelphia that includes a parade on July 4th, concerts, and outdoor movies. Click here for the calendar of events in Philadelphia. Saturday June 25th
Glenolden 
Our yearly fireworks show is set for June 25th (rain date June 26th). Music and games start at the Interboro Baseball field at 7 p.m.
The fireworks show, is scheduled to go off at dusk (shortly after 9 p.m.).


Sunday June 26th
YachtStock RiverJam Fireworks
Fireworks this year are held as part of the Yachtstock RiverJam event. RiverJam lasts from noon to 10pm and includes 50 bands at 3 venues, plus a car show, vendors, food and family fun. Proceeds benefit Shriners Hospitals Philadelphia and other local charities.

Sunday July 3rd

Upper Darby Township proudly presents the 2016 Independence Day Holiday Showcase

Upper Darby Township proudly invites young and old to celebrate the Independence Day holiday with a celebration that includes much more than fireworks.
Norwood

Live band and Fireworks start at 7:00 on Sunday, July 3rd at the lower Park. Parade, sporting contests and refreshments beginning at 8:30 am on Monday, July 4th. The parade starts at Interboro High School and ends at the Upper Park.



Ridley Park’s annual Big Bang Fireworks at The Lake begin at dusk on July 3rd. 



Monday July 4th

Aldan
Aldan’s Independence Day Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m.


Aston CANCELLED 
Aston township will hold its annual fireworks display at dusk on July 4th at the Sun Valley High athletic field starting at 9:15.

South Ardmore (Haverford Township)Ardmore Independence Day Celebration on July 4th

 Bethel Township Presents July 4th Fireworks
The Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Board invites our residents to celebrate the Fourth of July with a display of fireworks. The fireworks will be launched from the Francis Harvey Green School site beginning at 8:00 PM. Parking will be available, but limited, at the Bethel Elementary School and Bethel Community Park on Foulk Road.


4th of July Parade starts at 8:45 at Nazarene Church Parking lot

Glenolden 
Our 4th of July parade begins at 10:30 a.m. on the 4th. It will step off from the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot at the corner of Mac Dade Blvd and Ashland Ave. All parade participants should meet at the lot at 9:30 a.m.Patriotic ceremonies will follow at the end of the parade in Glenolden Park at the corner of Llanwellyn and Knowles Ave. There will be music, food, and games in the park following the ceremonies until 3 p.m. All of these activities are weather permitting. Rain date will be July 9th.

Lansdowne (rescheduled for tomorrow night, Tues. July 5th)
The Union Athletic Association of Lansdowne presents the annual Independence Day parade featuring marching bands, antique cars, decorated bikes, and floats. The route starts at 9 am on July 4th at East Greenwood.  Fireworks begin at 9pm

Marple Newtown

Come out and watch the parade on July 4th starting at 10 AM. The parade starts at St. Alban's circle in Newtown Square and travels down West Chester Pike to the Broomall Fire Company. Stop by the firehouse for free refreshments such as hot dogs, pretzels, and bottled water.

Narberth 4th of July Program
 Join us on Monday, July 4th as we celebrate Independence day in the best little town ever of Narberth! Daytime activities start at 10:00am with game, music, great food, and great company! Check it out! And of course, you don't want to miss out on the best Fireworks on the Mainline.

RadnorGarrett Hill Parade will be July 4th. Opening ceremonies of the parade are at 10:45a.m. at Clem Macrone Park.

Radnor
The annual Radnor Township July 4th Fireworks will take place at the Radnor High School fields on King of Prussia Road. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at dusk. The stands will be open, or you can bring a picnic basket and chairs and sit on the field. Tickets purchased in advance at the Radnor Township Building are $12 and tickets at the gate at $20.



Thornbury Township

Thornbury will hold its Annual Fourth of July Parade, on July 4th. Parade along Glen Mills Road to Thornbury Park. Refreshments and games at the park. Formation begins 9:30 am at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Parade begins at 10:00 am



Upland
Upland's annual Fourth of July family picnic will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Bristol Lord Field, located at Sixth and Church streets. You need a wristband and a current resident to attend this event.
