Group Art Exhibit, Music, and More at Media’s 2nd Saturday

2nd Saturday Arts Stroll, May 8, 6-9pm in downtown Media.

This month’s special concerts offer visitors the opportunity to stroll through the friendly streets of Media, making stops for three enjoyable musical events. The Rose Tree Media Elementary School Orchestra will perform at 6-6:30pm at the Media Fire Company. Students from the district’s four elementary schools come together for this special performance.

The Delaware County Institute of Science will host Four GosBells, a quartet handbell choir from Ridley Park, PA. Performing from 7-7:40pm, their musical selections will cross many genres including classical, pop, patriotic, and their own original fast-paced styles titled ‘Pick a Winner’ and ‘Super Mario Brothers 3’, known to entertain and interest audiences of all ages.

To benefit the children of Haiti, trumpet player Barbara Prugh will perform at the Media Presbyterian Church, 8-9pm. Known as “the trumpet singer”, she is a talented, entertaining musician who has a personal interest in using her music to help others.

Children of all ages will enjoy face painting, paint-your-own necklace, caricatures, and photo ops with life-size cutouts.
