Come see the horned dorset sheep and hog island sheep of the Colonial Plantation lose their winter coats. Sunday, April 27th. See the complete process -skirting, washing, dyeing, carding, drop spinning, wheel spinning, knitting and weaving. There will be flax, bobbin lace, and lucet demonstrations. There will also be hearth cooking, garden, farm, and house tours. Enjoy a day in the country that is very close to home.
