Martha Washington visits the Farm

Martha will visit our Farm at 1:00p.m. with the intention of purchasing some animals from the farm. You are welcome to see all the baby animals as well as our full grown milking cow, Belgian horse, Suffolk horse, Buff Roman geese, chickens, ox, pigs and sheep. Bones, our cat, will be there too.

Martha Washington was a wife, mother, gardener and traveler. She was the wealthiest widow in Virginia.and she managed what became one of the most visited households in America. She was the worthy partner of George Washington. Listen to Martha's thoughts on the revolution, how to raise a family, and what it was like to live with her famous husband. Martha will be portrayed by Susan Zickel. Susan also portrays Martha at Mount Vernon.

There will also be hearth cooking, gardening, farming and house tours. Enjoy a day in the country that is very close to home!

Cost: Admission is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for children ages 4 to 12. Children under age 4 are free.
