Toddler Time: Wool Gathering, From Sheep to Shirt at the American Swedish Historical Museum

Tuesday, May 20th
Toddler Time: Wool Gathering, From Sheep to Shirt
10:30am-11:30am

Join the American Swedish Historical Museum in 2014 for the continuation of its educational and family fun Toddler Time programs! Each session will help young minds grow through interactive stories, engaging hands on activities and valuable social interaction. Children will explore art, science, and literature in the unique and positive child centered learning environment of the American Swedish Historical Museum.

Spring is in the air and that means it’s time for sheep to get a hand with getting rid of their heavy wool coats. Wool is an important resource for people in Sweden and this month at Toddler Time kids will follow the adventure of Pelle in the book Pelle’s New Suit by Elsa Beskow and discover how the wool from a sheep is made into new clothes. Special guests from the Colonial Plantation will bring live sheep to the museum so kids can experience the animals in person!
