Linvilla Orchards’ Apple Festival honors apples every autumn. This legendary festival could not properly be celebrated in just one day!  This event is scheduled when Pick Your Own apples are most commonly at the height of their season and you can choose from the many varieties grown right here at Linvilla. You won’t want to miss our apple pie eating contest for bushels of fun!

Visitors of all ages are invited to discover solutions to science and engineering challenges at Science Saturday. Activities are included in regular admission and are free for Hagley members. Over 100 spectacular scarecrows line the autumn-tinted pathways of Peddler’s Village during our 42nd annual Scarecrows in the Village, on display from September 6 through October 30! For eight fun-filled weeks, view and vote for your favorite larger-than-life creations in this Bucks County tradition. Some scarecrows are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are scary – but all of them are carefully handmade by Philly-area residents and organizations.

Enjoy fun fall activities, including our annual Scarecrow-Making Workshops (reserve your spot online) and pumpkin painting, live entertainment every weekend, and delicious fall-inspired specials at Village restaurants.

Pumpkinland is open from September 11th through November 7th and takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.

See our piles of pumpkins in all colors, shapes, and sizes — over 100 tons on display! We do not do Pick Your Own pumpkins at Linvilla.  Our Pumpkins are pre-harvested. Find a huge selection of straw bales, corn shocks, toys, and fall decorations of all kinds.

This year we will continue with tickets for our daytime activities as well as our Autumn Moon, Harvest, and Witch's Hayrides to help better accommodate the number of visitors throughout the day. Tickets are required for ages 1 and older.  11 months and under are complimentary.

This year’s public environmental programming will look a bit different due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of a scheduled program led by our staff naturalist, we will be introducing new signage with fun facts, self-guided nature explorations, and exciting challenges for our park visitors! This month's theme is Monarchs.

Reel in fun and enjoy a day fishing at Linvilla's Orchard Lake!  Orchard Lake was originally constructed to provide irrigation water for some of the farm’s many crops.  However, creating a fishing destination was an equally important priority.  In 2004 trout fishing opened at Orchard Lake, and it has been a popular activity ever since.  Reserve tickets in advance.

Escape the every day here at Longwood, where the most beautiful, most peaceful, most enthralling summer getaway awaits.

Stroll through our gardens awash in brilliantly blooming annuals and perennials, or find a quiet, shaded spot among our towering trees to our serene woodland paths. Looking to make a splash? Head to our spectacular Main Fountain Garden, where fountains spin and soar during our daily fountain performances, giving “refreshing” a whole new meaning.
