A world-weary Aviator is stranded in the Sahara Desert where he meets a mysterious, regal “little man.” During their two weeks together, the Little Prince tells the Aviator about his adventures through the galaxy, how he met the Lamplighter and the Businessman and the Geographer, and about his strained relationship with a very special flower on his own tiny planet. Based on the classic children’s story by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, adapted from their musical of the same name.




In addition to free admission, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. join in creative art activities* led by teaching artists.  Develop an original adventure story inspired by imaginative illustrations in the Museum’s galleries and decorate rhythm-makers to tell a tale through sound. At 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., enjoy high-energy, interactive African and African-American stories in a program of “Folktale Fun” presented by master storyteller TAHIRA. A First Sunday favorite with listeners of all ages, TAHIRA shares ancient wisdom, original stories, and songs using call-and-response and humor to convey powerful life lessons.  

*Pre-registration is requested for art activities. 




Families and friends - come visit the Garrett Williamson Farm the first and third Saturday of each month, from ***10am to 12pm
Through self-guided tours, families will explore the Barn and meet our sheep, alpacas, horses, goats, chickens, and pigs.



West Chester University’s Department of Theatre & Dance presents CHARLOTTE’S WEB from March 3 - 5, 2023. One of the most beloved and celebrated pieces of children’s literature ever written, CHARLOTTE’S WEB is adapted to the stage by Joseph Robinette and directed by WCU Associate Professor of Theatre Charlie DelMarcelle. CHARLOTTE’S WEB runs Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Performances take place in the intimate 135-seat MainStage Theatre, E.O. This month, we’re exploring the connections between math and art that we encounter every day. Find examples of geometry and perception in our galleries, and see 3-D creations of Barnes paintings by students in Philadelphia and beyond. Catch music sets by Sophia Rocks, a 14-year-old DJ who has performed with artists including Erykah Badu, The Lost Boyz, D-Nice, and DJ Jazzy Jeff. Plus, enjoy the Barnes collection and see our newest special exhibition, Sue Williamson & Lebohang Kganye: Tell Me What You Remember, which opens today.

Linvilla Orchards Fore! The Planet is a highly interactive and playful museum exhibit created by the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia! This exhibition pairs important environmental topics with the fun of miniature golf.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art guests can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.
