The Media Theatre’s Youth Series production of The Lion King Jr.! A by kids, for kids stage adaptation of the Disney classic brings to life Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
The Lion King Jr. features classic songs from the Broadway musical and animated feature film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.”
The Veterans Legacy Project and Media Borough are in charge of organizing the annual Memorial Day Parade.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. every Memorial Day at Barrall Field, located at the intersection of State and Edgmont Streets. It progresses along State Street, turning right onto Orange Street, and ending at the Courthouse for a short ceremony to honor those who gave their lives to protect us.

Come out for this historic ceremony and parade in its 145th year. Start gathering at the monument around 10:00 am – 10:30 am.
The parade will begin staging around 10:30 in front of Rockdale Art Center (Ahearns Market) 2551 Mount Rd Aston, for an approximate 11:15am parade.
The Bethel Fire Company will be holding our annual carnival beginning Tuesday night May 20th through Saturday night May 24th. Carnival hours will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each evening at 3220 Foulk Road (corner of Foulk Road & Bethel Road), Garnet Valley, PA 19060. Come enjoy rides, food, and games. Proceeds benefit our all-volunteer fire department.
