celebrates Darwin's 200th Birthday
The Delaware Museum of Natural History celebrates the life and scientific contributions of Charles Darwin at Darwin's 200th Birthday Party on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with special activities throughout the day: Unveiling of a new permanent exhibit about Darwin and evolution, documenting the scientist's life, experiences, and explanation for his groundbreaking theory. An interactive puppet show about how a family of birds adapted to a new environment on the Galapagos Islands. Hands-on games and a tortoise craft. A special movie on Darwin and evolution in the DuPont Auditorium. Birthday cake served at 1 p.m. while supplies last.
