Join us at The Creative Living Room and experience Lenape history and culture come to life as presented by Shelley DePaul, Lenape Language Specialist, Educator and Musician from the Lenape Nation of Pa on Saturday, May 16th at 4:30 pm. This interactive cultural event will appeal to educators, parents and children of all ages. Activities include Lenape stories, games, crafts, songs, drumming, a traditional candy dance and hands-on artifact display. DePaul teaches at Swarthmore College and is co-curator of the current exhibit, "Fulfilling a Prophesy: Past and Present of the Lenape in Pennsylvania" at the University of Pennsylvania Museum, which tells the long-hidden story of the survival of the Lenape in their homelands and features never before displayed objects from the private collections of Lenape people in Pennsylvania.
Time: 4:30 – 5:30 pm
Tickets: $5 per person, infants free.
