Community Arts Center’s Fine Arts and Crafts Festival on State Street in Media

Community Arts Center’s Fine Arts and Crafts Festival
Takes Artists out of Their Studios and onto State Street

Community Arts Center’s ninth annual Fine Arts and Crafts Festival takes place on Saturday, September 10, 2011, rain or shine, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on State Street in Media, giving festival-goers the opportunity to buy high quality original art directly from the Tri-State area’s best artists and artisans in an open, friendly atmosphere.  Presented by Wendy Cotton, Len Orlando, Brandywine Conference and Visitors’ Bureau, and Media Business Authority, this free family event features live music, children’s activities sponsored by Citizen’s Bank, artist demonstrations, great food, an art raffle, and free parking in Media all day.
The Fine Arts and Crafts Festival is an art-filled day that’s fun for all.  Kids can try their hand at art at children’s activity booths that include a variety of unique creative experiences including the ever-popular tie dye!    Families can also enjoy a variety of live music all day long with bands performing at the corner of State and Jackson Streets.  Bands scheduled to perform include Lucy Stone, Whirled Peas, Obsoleets, Dave Manley, Sonoma Sound, and the Don Jones Band.  Festival-goers will also be treated to the choral music of the Rodney Bradley Friends Choir.
Everyone can stop for a bite to eat at Media’s finest restaurants throughout the day as many like Ariano's, Fellini Cafe, Zac's Hamburgers, Lotus Farm to Table, Sligo, On A Roll, Seven Stones Cafe and Sweet Potato Café are offering special “festival fare” for this unique day.
Truly a celebration of the arts for the entire family,  proceeds from the Fine Arts and Crafts Festival support all the programs at the Community Arts Center including free exhibitions, concerts, and its extensive outreach program, ARTto go, which provides arts experiences throughout the Delaware Valley.
