We invite you to explore our events calendar, which features a range of family-friendly activities and events to enjoy throughout the week, including weekends. We continually update our events calendar, so there's always something new and exciting to do! 




Mark your calendars - the Media Fall Festival is back by popular demand on Sunday, October 5th! We hope you'll join us for a wonderful day filled with food, music, artists, crafters, and tons of fun for the whole family!



This year, we have expanded the footprint to accommodate the most vendors we’ve ever had!  Food, crafts, pony rides, a petting zoo, a zip line, gaming trailers, and of course, live music!  See you there!



On October 5th we are hosting our annual Community Day at the Upper Chichester Municipal Complex. Join us for live music, food, bounce houses, face painting, vendors, contests, a parade, and tons of prizes!!!



Linvilla Orchard's famous Hayride to the Witches’ House is a hayride where you can visit the friendly Witches’ House in the woods. The witch tells stories and jokes and gives all of the kids a treat. The hayride ends at a campfire, where you receive a sample of apple cider and marshmallows to roast.



Arasapha Farm is open this year with many new additions and family fun. The corn maze has been planted, and new games make it more fun than ever. Other activities include pumpkin picking. This includes a Hayride to the Corn Maze and back to the courtyard. Our picnic areas, along with other activities, are available for Birthday parties, family reunions, and other gatherings. Parties include a jump on the pillow bounce, a pallet maze, a tractor and truck playground, and corn cannons.




An annual trip to Pumpkinland has been a family tradition for generations of Delaware Valley Residents. During the months of September and October, Pumpkinland takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, local history, and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.




Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate. Guests can experience themed entertainment, food,  contests, and activities. Tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee admission.



Teens and Tweens will enjoy The Bates Motel & Haunted Hayride, which has been voted the #1 haunt in the country and has been featured on the Travel Channel. 



In addition to free admission, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., join in creative art activities* and explore the people and patterns in the Jerrell Gibbs: No Solace in the Shade exhibition with a pictorial scavenger hunt. 
Join teaching artists in creating a colorful collage about your family and a patterned drum for catching the beat. At 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. enjoy lively performances from the West Powelton Step Team and Drum Line.




Enjoy a brisk fall afternoon along the picturesque Chester Creek Valley from our train as we take you on a 90-minute journey back in time to the village of Glen Mills and return.





Children of all ages are welcome to sit and listen, ask questions, doodle, draw, paste, and color to their heart's content. (Accompanying adults are also welcome to get involved!)

The festival features many different historic skills and trades demonstrations, vendors in the Colonial Market, beer and wine at the Tavern, hayrides, as well as hands-on activities for kids of all ages.

This year’s theme, “Food Traditions Past and Present,” will highlight foods and cooking from the 18th century, along with the trades that made it possible to put food on the table in early America. Modern food trucks will also be on-site, offering a variety of delicious eats!

Glen Eagle Square is excited to bring back our Harvest Festival. With a pumpkin patch and pumpkin decorating, music, entertainment, treats, and more! Come celebrate fall at Glen Eagle Square!

Parents are welcome and encouraged to join their children on the ride.

All aboard the Dinosaur Train at Please Touch Museum! This traveling exhibit will transport kids back to the time of dinosaurs and encourage basic scientific learning through fun, hands-on activities.

Discover a glowing new adventure as glowing gourds in the shapes of aquatic animals take over the aquarium, ready to delight with daytime fun! The park will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween haven, and guests can enjoy trick-or-treating, Halloween-themed shows and parades, participating in our Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and unique photo opportunities with everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed up in costume.

What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend. There is so much to do for families and kids, especially now that most venues are open and happy to welcome you back.


Join us for a three-day Chadds Ford tradition where over 70 giant pumpkins are carved by local artists on Thursday and will be lit and displayed on Friday & Saturday. All three nights enjoy a 'kid friendly' Haunted Trail, raffle prizes and live music from "Kenny & Friends".  Each night, "America's Got Talent" contestant, Dylan Zangwill, will be singing on the stage 5:30pm - 6:30pm.  Food, local craft beer and wine are available for purchase.



Join us for three spooky weekends this October during our annual fall extravaganza! Come dressed in your favorite costume; enjoy seasonal décor, photo opportunities, and festive fall offerings; and have a spooktacular time!



This is a community-wide FREE event to raise awareness of our school. The event offers children of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore various vehicles and meet the people who build, protect and serve the local community.
Stop by to have some fun!
Rain date will be October 23rd.



To be held in Bristol Lord Field located at 6th & Church Streets. The Community Affairs Committee will be holding a Fall Flea Market starting at 10:00 a.m.

Enjoy our family-friendly Spooky Trail open the entire month of October!



Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!



Take a 15 min hayride through our orchards and drops you off at a campfire with marshmallows and apple cider.

See our piles of pumpkins in all colors, shapes, and sizes — over 100 tons on display! We do not do Pick Your Own pumpkins at Linvilla.  Our Pumpkins are pre-harvested. Find a huge selection of straw bales, corn shocks, toys, and fall decorations of all kinds.

This year we will continue with tickets for our daytime activities as well as our Autumn Moon, Harvest, and Witch's Hayrides to help better accommodate the number of visitors throughout the day. Tickets are required for ages 1 and older.  11 months and under are complimentary.

Test your navigation skills in our straw bale and cornfield mazes and Pick Your Own fall apples. Grab some candy and caramel apples and see the Linvilla jack-o-lantern exhibit!




Join the fun at The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire  The Renaissance fair occurring over 13 weekends from early August through late October on the grounds of the Mount Hope Estate and Winery in Manheim, Pennsylvania. 



This year’s public environmental programming will look a bit different due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of a scheduled program led by our staff naturalist, we will be introducing new signage with fun facts, self-guided nature explorations, and exciting challenges for our park visitors! This month's theme is Monarchs.




Travel back in time 66 million years ago and journey to an age when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Encounter 24 life-size creatures, learn about these prehistoric giants, the rise of humans, and our impact on wildlife and the planet!  Timed tickets are required.



Reel in fun and enjoy a day fishing at Linvilla's Orchard Lake!  Orchard Lake was originally constructed to provide irrigation water for some of the farm’s many crops.  However, creating a fishing destination was an equally important priority.  In 2004 trout fishing opened at Orchard Lake, and it has been a popular activity ever since.  Reserve tickets in advance.




Crisp, fresh, and altogether refreshing, autumn at Longwood is a season of constant shifts in hue and texture … yet ever-present beauty.

Cherry Crest Adventure Farm is a 15-acre farm located in Lancaster, with 50+ Farm Fun activities, including the Hay Chute Slide and Straw Bale Racer, Jump Pillow, Farm Tour Wagon Ride, Petting Zoo and Farm Experience Center, Corny’s Ball-cade, and everyone's favorite the Corn Maze.






September 25th -October 31st

Philadelphia Zoo is adding a little green to your Halloween with the return of
 Boo at the Zoo!
Enjoy festive fall offerings available for purchase throughout the Zoo: hot apple cider, reusable Boo at the Zoo trick-or-treat bags, and much more!
Set out on a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and discover your favorite animals in the form of life-size scarecrows!







September 24th -October 31st

10:30 am - 3:30 pm

Families can take a hayride to experience the beautiful fall foliage at Hagley. 

The hayride route offers unique views of Eleutherian Mills, including the meadow, orchard, garden, residence, and other historic buildings. The ride will last approximately 20 minutes.

Guests can also enjoy fall-themed crafts and activities.

Hayrides will be included with general admission to the museum and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Rides will take place every half hour beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending with the last ride at 3:30 p.m.
 

                                 


Weekends starting October 16th -October 31st

Enjoy a fully decorated park full of family-friendly ghouls, ghosts, and spooks! Soak in the colors of fall with all your royal friends at Dutch Wonderland in a safe non-scary environment for kids! Laugh, scream, and cackle with over 30 of our favorite rides and attractions themed for the season! 



October 22nd- October 24th
10:00am to 3:00pm

Celebrate Halloween Brandywine Zoo-style with this merry, not scary, event. All are invited to wear costumes while visiting the zoo animals. Plenty of treats and activities. Kids will receive a pre-packaged treat bag at the end! Members DO NOT need to register for this event! Tickets are available at the door and online. Online purchase recommended. 





September 18 - November 7

Come in costume and celebrate silly, not-too-spooky fun at The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place! The park will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween haven and guests will enjoy trick-or-treating around the park, Halloween-themed shows, participating in our interactive Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, and unique photo opportunities with everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed up in costume on their Halloween-themed floats! 







 October 30th

1:00pm to 4:00pm

At 1pm, on the corner of Forrest and Haverford Avenues, Halloween kicks off with this popular annual scavenger hunt. Children of all ages are invited to join in this free event, where kids search downtown Narberth high and low for the witchiest witches around. They collect treats along the way and then return to the start to collect a Halloween prize.
