Fun Things To Do In Delaware County This Weekend For Families And Kids July 30th, 31st, and August 1st

A list of best things to do in Delaware County this weekend, July 30th, 31st, and August 1st

What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend. There is so much to do for families and kids, especially now that most venues are open and happy to welcome you back.

The popular children’s book comes to life on our stage! It’s not easy being the Pigeon–you never get to do ANYTHING! The Bus Driver has a crisis that could make the passengers LATE and maybe Pigeon can help save the day! Don’t miss this zany new musical!

Based on the classic novel, which inspired a Disney movie, this charming new Broadway musical tells the tale of Winnie Foster as she yearns for excitement beyond her white picket fence. In the woods Winnie discovers the Tuck family with their extraordinary secret as well as the sinister man in the yellow suit. A new world opens up for Winnie including a carnival and finding love as she faces a most difficult choice. Captivating for ages 12 to 92, the delightful songs and thrilling dances will take you on an enchanted journey.

On the first Sunday of every month, the Barnes offers free admission and programming to its visitors. Guests can enjoy talks, performances, and hands-on activities throughout the day. Tickets are limited and must be reserved in advance.

We are excited to bring live entertainment back to our beloved amphitheater this summer, and we're committed to keeping a healthy environment for our audience, entertainers, and staff members.  The Summer Festival in Rose Tree Park runs from June 26 to August 22 with concerts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays at the outdoor amphitheater in Rose Tree Park.

Visit the whimsical world of Mo Willems and his cast of lovable characters, including best friend duo Elephant and Piggie, faithful companion Knuffle Bunny and The Pigeon, the wily city bird best known for his antics in Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!

Activities in the exhibition will give children the opportunity to make art that is inspired by Mo Willems and to learn about the social and emotional lives of the author’s popular characters.

Purchase your tickets in advance to pick your own favorite fruits at Linvilla Orchards.

Come sail with us! Kalmar Nyckel offers river cruises, day sails, and appearances from May through October in 2021. Sails are limited to 25 passengers, and reservations are required.

Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront's favorite Summertime traditions featuring outdoor roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, all with soaring views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. Summerfest is the perfect place for a family outing, a school trip, or a meet-up with friends.

Travel back in time 66 million years ago and journey to an age when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Encounter 24 life-size creatures, learn about these prehistoric giants, the rise of humans, and our impact on wildlife and the planet!  Timed tickets are required.

Reel in fun and enjoy a day fishing at Linvilla's Orchard Lake!  Orchard Lake was originally constructed to provide irrigation water for some of the farm’s many crops.  However, creating a fishing destination was an equally important priority.  In 2004 trout fishing opened at Orchard Lake, and it has been a popular activity ever since.  Reserve tickets in advance.

Escape the every day here at Longwood, where the most beautiful, most peaceful, most enthralling summer getaway awaits.

Stroll through our gardens awash in brilliantly blooming annuals and perennials, or find a quiet, shaded spot among our towering trees to our serene woodland paths. Looking to make a splash? Head to our spectacular Main Fountain Garden, where fountains spin and soar during our daily fountain performances, giving “refreshing” a whole new meaning.

Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park have adventures behind every corner. They are the ultimate indoor playground for your entire family. Take your kids’ birthday party to the next level or spend a day of fun with the family, and you’ll see why we’re more than just a trampoline park.
