Shooting Stars Holiday Spectacular          
     
Join the Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars for 90 minutes of festive fun featuring talented students from 18 local high schools!

Enjoy Broadway-style numbers, holiday classics like “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” and “Carol of the Bells,” and a pre-show performance by the Delaware County Flute Choir.



Trains at the Historic Grange 

At Christmas time, the Carriage House of the Grange Estate is transformed into the Cobbs Creek Lines Holiday Railroad, a magical land of Lionel and O Gauge trains. Viewers of all ages delight in the immersive, fun-filled, and fantastic display of trains. Each year a dedicated group of volunteers assembles to enhance the train display, and each year’s visit brings something new to enjoy!


Lunch with Santa at UNO's

Santa is coming to UNOs for lunch! Four seatings over a few weekends in December. $12.99 for lunch, Christmas craft, holiday music, sundae station, and a photo with the big guy! Reservations required, call now!



Peter Pan Jr the Media Theatre

Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, the fierce Brave Girls, a band of bungling pirates, and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook. Featuring the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," and a rousing book full of magic, warmth, and adventure, Peter Pan JR. is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up.

THE LITTLE ORPHAN WHO COULD. Annie is taken from her orphanage and the clutches of evil Miss Hannigan to stay at billionaire Oliver Warbucks’ mansion for the holidays. When Annie wins the hearts of Warbucks and his staff, they set out on an epic mission to find Annie’s parents. Meanwhile, Miss Hannigan, in partnership with her brother Rooster and his girlfriend Lily, attempts to make some money out of this unique situation.

During the daylight-deprived month of December, Rose Tree Park sparkles at night with its annual Festival of Lights display. Dozens of illuminated trees and lit displays draw visitors back every year to walk in the winter wonderland and linger in the festive atmosphere. A treasured Delco tradition for more than four decades, The Festival of Lights provides a perfect opportunity to get in the holiday spirit with friends and family or take a sweetheart stroll after dinner.



The holidays will arrive early to the Brandywine Museum of Art this season with the return of the Brandywine Railroad holiday train display, plus a new exhibition that will highlight the miniature worlds created and loved by the Wyeth family of artists—including two additional model train displays that will delight visitors of all ages. 



We’re very excited to return to Edgmont, PA, opening November 24th and running through February 2024. Conveniently located on Route 3,  just minutes from the Blue Route, West Chester, Newtown Square and a short drive from Philadelphia or The Main Line. You can expect a winter wonderland filled with fun for the whole family, including convenient on-site parking, festive music, lighting, video & decor, delicious food & beverages, and heated hospitality tents perfect for private parties.



A Christmas tradition since 1959, Strasburg Rail Road welcomes a very special visitor every November and December. That’s right, Santa himself will climb aboard the historic steam train to greet families as they travel down the tracks to Paradise, PA and back. As a special treat, children ages 11 and under will receive a gift from Santa and his helper during this nostalgic 45-minute steam train ride.

The gingerbread entries will be on exhibit during shopping hours from November 14 through January 17 in the Visitor & Event Center. Admission is free.

Experience the wonder of family rides & select coasters, sip a delicious hot chocolate while strolling through more than 5 million twinkling lights, and meet the Hershey Characters in their holiday best! Finding Nemo Jr. at the Media Theater
December 16th -January 14th

Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

During the daylight-deprived month of December, Rose Tree Park sparkles at night with its annual Festival of Lights display. Dozens of illuminated trees and lit displays draw visitors back every year to walk in the winter wonderland and linger in the festive atmosphere. A treasured Delco tradition for more than four decades, The Festival of Lights provides a perfect opportunity to get in the holiday spirit with friends and family or take a sweetheart stroll after dinner.



Employ the principles of drag and lift to make a soaring sleigh that floats at just the right height above "Earth." How high can you make it fly?

Visitors of all ages are invited to discover solutions to science and engineering challenges at Science Saturday. Activities are included in regular admission and are free for Hagley members. This is a drop-in activity, feel free to join the fun at any time from 12 to 4 p.m. 



This enchanting, 128-year-old Christmas ballet is famous for having enthralled audiences of all ages all over the world. In the upcoming 2021 Holiday Season IBC will bring to Delaware County a lavish original production showcasing a cast of talented professional Guest Artists as well as a group of award-winning local ballet students.


Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. at the Media Theatre

The holiday classic soars off the screen in this musical adaptation of the beloved television special. Filled with holiday hits like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas.”



We’re very excited to bring an outdoor ice skating rink to Delaware County! For our first year, you can expect fun for the whole family including ice skating sessions, lounge area, heated tent, and great food and beverages.


Christmas Underwater at the Adventure Aquarium

This holiday season, dive into Christmas Underwater, now through December 24, and discover an incredible world of seasonal under-the-sea fun! Scuba Santa is back in Ocean Realm, sharing Christmas cheer with kids (and animals!) of all ages! Explore even more holiday decor than ever before, including underwater light displays, festive new shows, and the World's Tallest Underwater Christmas Tree!

Gingerbread Competition & Display at Peddler's Village

A holiday tradition at Peddler’s Village since 1984, the Gingerbread Competition and Display is a feast for the eyes with more than 75 creative and whimsical entries in these categories: NEW! Holiday on Wheels, Traditional, Authentic Reproduction Around the World, 3-D, Movie or TV Set, Winter Wonderland, Student, and Kids Only. The Gingerbread entries will be on exhibit during shopping hours from November 19 through January 8, 2022. Admission is free.



LumiNature at the Philadelphia Zoo 

See the Zoo transform into a dazzling winter wonderland beginning Thursday, November 18. Taking guests on a journey of lights, sounds, and surprises, LumiNature offers sparkling new displays, enhanced installations, performance artists, and seasonal treats in our biggest holiday light show yet!


Wild Lights at Elmwood Park Zoo

Elmwood Park Zoo’s favorite family tradition, Wild Lights, returns this holiday season! All aboard Santa's Express! Join Santa for a 75-minute journey on our heated decorated train through the Chester Creek Valley. Santa will be greeting everyone at Market Street Station and then going along for the ride to Glen Mills and return. Santa will be visiting all passengers while on the train. Make sure you bring your holiday lists with you so Santa can check them twice!


Yuletide at Winterthur

Celebrate the season with a one-of-a-kind holiday experience. The Yuletide tour at Winterthur showcases rooms in Henry Francis du Pont’s former home decorated in full holiday splendor, including specialty decorated trees that celebrate the garden, and du Pont family traditions. The displays are inspired by the traditions and festivities of the season as enjoyed by H. F. du Pont and his family.

A Very Furry Christmas Celebration at Sesame Place® is a festive, family-friendly celebration with everyone’s favorite Sesame Street® friends. The park is transformed into a one-of-a-kind Christmas wonderland with millions of twinkling lights and festive decorations all around.

At the center of our 1-2-3 Christmas Tree show, is a 30-foot fully-illuminated pixel-based tree, that will project festive animated images while guests can dance along to a festive holiday soundtrack – all making for the ultimate light show experience! The Wizard of Oz Educational Exhibit at the Please Touch Museum

The Wizard of Oz Educational Exhibit, a traveling exhibit based on the beloved movie classic, opens on Oct. 8 in Philadelphia. Visitors of all ages are invited to come along with Dorothy and Toto on a multi-sensory exploration of the Land of Oz.
