We invite you to explore our events calendar, which features a range of family-friendly activities and events to enjoy throughout the week, including weekends. We continually update our events calendar, so there's always something new and exciting to do! 



The Nether Providence Family Fun Day is an annual community event with food, games, and activities, typically held in the fall. The 2025 event is scheduled for Saturday, October 11th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Strath Haven Middle School Upper Parking Lot. 



Get ready for a musical experience, ripped from the pages of Mo Willems' best-selling children's books, that will leave audiences doing the "Flippy Floppy Floory" dance all night long! In Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" JR., Gerald and Piggie take to the stage in a rollicking adventure. An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are "bestus" friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She's even happier and more excited than usual because they have been invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so begins a day when anything is possible. Filled with joyful characters and lively songs, Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" JR. is a perfect way to introduce young people to theatre, making this an excellent educational theatre experience! 



The Ridley Park Fall Festival & Car Show will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Ridley Park Business District. The event is hosted by the Ridley Park Business Association and will feature a car show with trophies, vendors, and other activities.  



The Prospect Park Recreation Board's Community Day 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at E. Park Square in Prospect Park, PA. The event will feature a variety of free activities for families, including bounce houses, face painting, games, live music, pumpkin painting, and a selection of food trucks. 


Don’t miss this free family friendly event featuring over 30 artist vendors, live music all day, tie dyeing, kids' activities, pumpkin painting contest, Carmen’s Mobile Foods food truck, beverages by @conshohockenbrewing, and tours of the CAC studios with demos by faculty members



Linvilla Orchard's famous Hayride to the Witches’ House is a hayride where you can visit the friendly Witches’ House in the woods. The witch tells stories and jokes and gives all of the kids a treat. The hayride ends at a campfire, where you receive a sample of apple cider and marshmallows to roast.



Arasapha Farm is open this year with many new additions and family fun. The corn maze has been planted, and new games make it more fun than ever. Other activities include pumpkin picking. This includes a Hayride to the Corn Maze and back to the courtyard. Our picnic areas, along with other activities, are available for Birthday parties, family reunions, and other gatherings. Parties include a jump on the pillow bounce, a pallet maze, a tractor and truck playground, and corn cannons.




An annual trip to Pumpkinland has been a family tradition for generations of Delaware Valley Residents. During the months of September and October, Pumpkinland takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, local history, and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.




Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate. Guests can experience themed entertainment, food,  contests, and activities. Tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee admission.



Teens and Tweens will enjoy The Bates Motel & Haunted Hayride, which has been voted the #1 haunt in the country and has been featured on the Travel Channel. 




Enjoy a brisk fall afternoon along the picturesque Chester Creek Valley from our train as we take you on a 90-minute journey back in time to the village of Glen Mills and return.





Children of all ages are welcome to sit and listen, ask questions, doodle, draw, paste, and color to their heart's content. (Accompanying adults are also welcome to get involved!)

Join us for an afternoon of family fun featuring trick-or-treating 
to select stores, a sweet scarecrow craft, an apple cider station,  
balloon twisting, face painting, glitter tattoos, magic, and more!

Magic and bubble shows will be at 1:15PM and 2:15PM and will be approximately 45 minutes long. They will be held in the courtyard on the corner by Harvest Seasonal Grill.




Brick Fest Live® is a family event at the Greater Philadelphia Convention Center that features hands-on attractions and activities.



Experience Fintastic Fall Days only at Adventure Aquarium! Discover a glowing new adventure as glowing gourds in the shapes of aquatic animals take over the aquarium, ready to delight with daytime fun! Explore among glowing sea creatures, discover underwater pumpkin carvers, and embark on a search for illuminating surprises waiting around every corner. Experience the adventure before it glows away!

Brick Fest Live® is a live family event filled with hands-on attractions and activities at the Greater Philadelphia Convention Center.



Fire Prevention Week is coming, and so is our annual Thrill Show. Join us at the firehouse on Saturday, October 14th, from 4-7 p.m. 
From the crushing metal of an actual car accident or the heat of a real fire - you won’t want to miss this action-packed fire safety show. 
This year, we’ve teamed up again with Rocky Run Fire Company - Station 46, PA State Police, and Riddle Hospital paramedics to highlight Fire Prevention Week in a big way by putting on a one-of-a-kind fire prevention safety show. 



Join us for the 2023 History & Haunts Ghost Tour on Saturday, October 14th from 6:15pm - 8:30pm at the Concord Township Municipal Campus!
The ghost tour will feature a special paranormal presentation by the Harrisburg Area Paranormal Society, and an educational haunted history walking tour of the former Dante Orphanage basement, Maplewood Institute gymnasium, Concord Friends Meeting Graveyard/Forest, and the Concord Township Senior Center!
This is a walking tour, so please dress accordingly! Ages 12+.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to join their children on the ride.

All aboard the Dinosaur Train at Please Touch Museum! This traveling exhibit will transport kids back to the time of dinosaurs and encourage basic scientific learning through fun, hands-on activities.

Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.



Come in costume and celebrate silly, not-too-spooky fun at The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place! The park will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween haven, and guests can enjoy trick-or-treating, Halloween-themed shows and parades, participating in our Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and unique photo opportunities with everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed up in costume.

Our annual pumpkin harvest season at Milky Way Farm runs Sept 23-Oct 29, 2023. For Saturdays and Sundays, purchase $5 admission tickets for each person. Wander through the corn maze, take family photos, visit the farm animals, and stroll to one of our pumpkin patches through our farm meadow as part of your 2-hour experience. New this year, purchase a $9 admission ticket and also be able to hop on one of our ticketed hayrides to a different pumpkin patch.

Pick-your-own pumpkin patch with a free hayride out to the fields.  Beyond the patch, you can find pumpkins and gourds in all sizes and colors, corn stalks, straw bales, a corn maze, and more.   





Ride a tractor-drawn wagon out to the pumpkin patch, where you can spend as long as you want to select the perfect pumpkins for every member of the family. Be sure you bring along your camera for some priceless photos. Of course, you can also just take the hayride and get your pumpkins on another weekend.

Saturday, October 21st, 3pm - 9pm

Join us for a three-day Chadds Ford tradition where over 70 giant pumpkins are carved by local artists on Thursday and will be lit and displayed on Friday & Saturday. All three nights, enjoy a 'kid-friendly Haunted Trail, raffle prizes, and live music. Food, local craft beer, and wine are available for purchase.

Our annual pumpkin harvest season at Milky Way Farm runs Sept 24-Oct 30, 2022. For Saturdays and Sundays, individual tickets must be purchased in advance to limit capacity in response to COVID19 regulations. Stroll to the pumpkin patch, wander through the corn maze, take family photos, and visit the farm animals as part of your 2-hour $5 admission ticket. Bring your own wagon to carry pumpkins, fall harvest items, vegetables, and honey products which may be purchased during your visit. There will not be free hayrides however we are offering private hayride wagon trips to the patch for $75 (wagon can fit 20 family and friends ) using other event link. Tip: Purchase private hayride for family or group prior to farm admission tickets as you must arrive at the farm at least 30 minutes before your confirmed private hayride time. Visitors are expected to wear face masks and practice social distancing. Chester Springs Creamery will be open for ice cream from 10:30 am-8 pm on these days. We are open rain or shine.
