Under the direction of Thoas-Robert Irvin. campers will start their day with theatre games and warm-ups to get to know each other. From there, they will work in groups where the fun continues as in the June session they adapt the stories of Hans Christian Andersen (known for such classic tales as “The Little Mermaid,“ “The Steadfast Tin Soldier,“ “Thumbelina” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes”) into short plays which they will perform in a showcase for family and friends on Friday evening. The August session will focus on collaborating to adapt stories from Greek Mythology, again culminating in an invited performance showcase. Work will include important theatre skills such as improvisation, character development, diction & projection and much more. With diverse material being explored, each camp session promises to be its own unique and exciting experience. Sign up for both sessions and receive a special discount!
