You are invited to a Sheep to Shawl event. Come see the horned dorset sheep and hog island sheep of the Colonial Plantation lose their winter coats. They will be shorn with hand shears on Saturday, April 28th. See the complete process -skirting, washing, dying, carding, drop spinning, wheel spinning, knitting and weaving. There will be flax, bobbin lace, and lucet demonstrations. There will also be hearth cooking, garden, farm, and house tours. Enjoy a day in the country that is very close to home.

Cost: Admission is $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for children ages 4 to 12. Children under age 4 are free.
