Read party books and themed activities with us, and enjoy library snacks. Then, dance your way to a noon countdown! 





Delaware Valley's biggest and best family-friendly Countdown till noon!  Past events have been a highlight and tradition for area families.  Join us 11am - 1pm for a great event!

Celebrate the New Year with Adventure! Ring in the New Year with Twiggy dropping from the Pirate Ship at 12 Noon. Twiggy’s Tree Shakin’ New Year’s Eve Party is December 31st, from 10am – 1pm. The ticket is $28.00 and includes Tree climbing, Tomahawk Toss, Ziplining, and Warrior Woods. Non-participating guests can also purchase Treehouse Passes.








Count Down 2 Noon at The Please Touch Museum
December 31st   9-11:30 a.m. or 1-3:30 p.m.

To create a festive and fun New Year’s Eve for everyone, we are offering two timed sessions with limited capacity and will livestream the New Year’s Eve ball drop on the Museum’s lower level for those who want a quieter countdown experience. Choose the option that works best for your family; both the morning and afternoon sessions will end with our traditional New Year’s Eve ball drop and livestream option!





Noon Year's Eve Celebration at Brandywine Zoo 
December 31st  

We’ll have a celebratory atmosphere with a group countdown to Noon. Program takes place outside in the zoo so dress for the weather! Hot chocolate will be available for purchase at the snack bar. Some animals may not be out because of the cold weather. TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE ONLY!

We're getting so excited for our New Year's Eve Confetti Countdown! Countdowns will be at 11 AM, 12 PM, and 1 PM on Dec 31, with special musical performances from  We Kids Rock and appearances from Pinky the Puppet. Plus, a Pom Pom Party in the STEM room and firework painting in Studio D. We hope to see you!



New Year's Eve Fireworks at Penn's Landing

Ring in 2024 in style with Parties on Ice! There are two great sessions, including New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront, the biggest and brightest fireworks show in the area.





New Year's Eve in Kennett Square

The Mushroom Festival and Kennett Area Restaurant & Merchant Association are again hosting the Annual Mushroom Drop being held at State & Union Streets this year.

Weather permitting (no wind), the lighted Mushroom will be raised at 8:55 PM - bring the kids for the opening celebrations.



New Year's Eve at Cherry Street Pier

Enjoy activities with PopUpPlay, including make-and-take crafts and games (while supplies last), a New Year’s countdown, gymnastics courses from National Kids Gym, puppet making, and the Digger and David Puppet Theater (a roaming puppeteer), scooter races and catapults, a scavenger hunt, a dance party with live video feed on the Pier’s jumbo screens, black light room, and special balloon drop to countdown to the New Year. Plus, enjoy a  front-row seat to the New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront at 6 pm.

New Year's Eve Fireworks at Sesame Place

The night sky sparkles at Sesame Place, with our spectacular fireworks show, set to Sesame Street music, making the festivities on New Year's Eve truly memorable. Fireworks will begin immediately following their Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade on December 31st.





Join our pal Duke has he hosts the county's most royal family-friendly New Year's Celebration with his second annual Diamond Dropevent!

Gather with us on New Year's Eve at 3:30 PM at Storytime Corner to get the wiggles out at a bubble dance party, an exclusive gift for all kids (12 & under) in attendance, all culminating in counting down and watching the diamond drop at 4pm!

Ridley Drama Group presents Spirits of Christmas Vendor Village

Take care of all of your last-minute holiday shopping needs with 60+ vendors on-site and indoors. There will also be complimentary crafts for the kids and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus! 



Trains at the Historic Grange 

At Christmas time, the Carriage House of the Grange Estate is transformed into the Cobbs Creek Lines Holiday Railroad, a magical land of Lionel and O Gauge trains. Viewers of all ages delight in the immersive, fun-filled, and fantastic display of trains. Each year a dedicated group of volunteers assembles to enhance the train display, and each year’s visit brings something new to enjoy!

During the daylight-deprived month of December, Rose Tree Park sparkles at night with its annual Festival of Lights display. On one remarkable Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who show him the past, present—and possible future. You and your loved ones are in for a classic holiday treat with this special hour-long musical adaptation for kids that uses traditional songs to highlight Dickens’ magical story. Deck the halls as our holiday spirits travel beyond the footlights right into your very own heart.  




We’re very excited to return to Edgmont, PA, opening November 24th and running through February 2024. Conveniently located on Route 3,  just minutes from the Blue Route, West Chester, Newtown Square and a short drive from Philadelphia or The Main Line. The holidays will arrive early to the Brandywine Museum of Art this season with the return of the Brandywine Railroad holiday train display, plus a new exhibition that will highlight the miniature worlds created and loved by the Wyeth family of artists—including two additional model train displays that will delight visitors of all ages. 



ELF The Broadway Musical is the story of Buddy, who mistakenly crawled into Santa's bag as a baby and was raised as an elf! Buddy is unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, he embarks on a journey to New York City with dreams to find his birth father and discover his true identity. What's an adopted elf to do when he realizes his father is on Santa's 'naughty' list and his half-brother doesn't believe that there is a Santa Claus? It's up to Buddy to save Christmas in this hilarious and charming Broadway musical!



A Christmas tradition since 1959, Strasburg Rail Road welcomes a very special visitor every November and December. That’s right, Santa himself will climb aboard the historic steam train to greet families as they travel down the tracks to Paradise, PA and back. No registration is required. The meeting room holds 100 people. First come, first served.

Celebrate the coming of 2024 with us! We'll decorate party hats, dance, play with toys and the parachute, and enjoy our countdown to noon with bubbles at the end (and maybe a special visitor)! Best for ages 6 months-8 years. Please register.

Finding Nemo Jr. at the Media Theater
December 16th -January 14th

Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Delaware County’s favorite holiday tradition continues with a fun and festive adaptation featuring two actors as Scrooge and "everybody else." A celebratory spectacle for all ages that bursts to life and is sure to make spirits bright.
