Celebrate the Holiday Season at Hershey Park

This past weekend my family and I traveled to Hershey Park to check out Hershey's Christmas Candylane.  Christmas Candylane opens each year in November and runs until December 31st.  You will definitely be in the holiday spirit after spending a day at Hershey.

Hershey's Christmas Candylane features many attractions for guests of all ages including over 30 rides. The park comes alive with holiday cheer including lights and festive decorations. The shops in the park sell holiday items, to get some special gifts for those hard to shop for people on your list. Sing-along at the heart-warming Christmas show, A Rockin' Music Box Christmas, or take a break from the rides for the Christmas Candylane Storytime.

A favorite among younger guests is a visit to Santa's Reindeer Stables.  You can look at real reindeer up close as they rest up for their big night.  You can also visit with Santa at his Candy Cottage.

Rides
With over 30 rides open the kids will have plenty to choose from.  Keep in mind the roller coasters are not open during Christmas Candlane.

Zoo America
Take a break from the rides and visit Zoo America which is located in the park. Zoo America is an eleven acre zoo with animals from 5 regions of North America. We loved checking out Sugar the rare albino alligator.

Food
There are many eateries open in the park for you to get a quick bite, or a small treat.  Since it was a little chilly out the hot coco was a perfect drink to warm everyone up between rides.  We also tried this amazing S'more called a Reese's S'more.  It's 2 chocolate chip cookies with marshmallow and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, sandwiched in between the cookies.  So yummy!

When to arrive
We arrived early when the park first opened, the lines were small so we got on every ride that we wanted.  As the day went on the crowds got large and by night it was crowded.  I suggest arriving early and leaving at dark to see the Sweet Lights display.
