Colonial Plantation Pirate Splash Day


Saturday July 17th

12 to 4 with last entry at 3pm

Adults - $6.00 and children (4 to 12) -$6.00



Bring your swimsuit and old shoes because wet is the theme for this special day at the Plantation. Pirates will attack the house in a kid-friendly manner and take it over for the day. Youngsters will be encouraged to run the maze and the gauntlet as pirates try to stop them with water. There will be foot races, face painting, rubber ducky races in the creek and a water balloon toss. The pirates will attack at 12:30 pm and control the farm until the local militia repulses them at 3:30 pm.

Cow Appreciation Day


Chick-fil-A is issuing a cattle call! On Friday, July 9th, Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide will celebrate the organization's annual Cow Appreciation Day event by offering a FREE meal to any guest who visits the restaurant fully dressed as a cow!

Guests dressed "head-to-hoof" in cow attire will be rewarded with a free Chick-fil-A meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). For those "too chicken" to wear full cow costumes, Chick-fil-A will award a complimentary entree to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory.

Bring chairs or blankets to use as seating during this free, outdoor event.

Radio Disney AM 640 Philadelphia presents a fun-filled beach event for the whole family on TUESDAY, JUNE 29 (6:30p.m.-8:00p.m.). Visitors can join the Radio Disney Road Crew in Dewey Beach, DE at the beach on Dagsworthy Street for an evening of music, games, contests and prizes.


A convenient destination from many different locations, Radio Disney invites families to kick off summer with a fun-filled trip to Dewey Beach. June 9th-13th


The Delaware County Fair will be held at the former Franklin Mint site from June 9th-13th.
Sponsored by Glen Riddle Rotary Club & Delaware County Fair.



This year’s fair is being held again at the former Franklin Mint
Property in Middletown Township on Baltimore Pike. There will be
amusement rides, food, games, and appearances by TV cartoon
characters. Proceeds from this fair go towards charities that benefit
citizens of Delaware County.

• A major focus for the Fair is Special KIDS Night on Wednesday,
June 9th, when Rotarians welcome children and adults with
disabilities to enjoy FREE rides all night.

• This year the Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania will show cars
on Saturday June 12th. The Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania was
founded in 1949, making it one of the oldest independent antique car
clubs in the United States.

• Another outreach that the Fair brings to families is CHIP (Child
Identification Program), sponsored by the Pennsylvania Free Masons
and Rick’s Sheds in Aston. Children will be fingerprinted and their
DNA samples secured for identification purposes - all FREE.
