Please remember that alcoholic beverages are prohibited throughout the park, and for everyone's safety and comfort, pets and smoking must remain outside the amphitheater.
There is no admission charge for the concerts.

What happens if it rains?
There are no rain dates for Summer Festival concerts that are cancelled due to inclement weather. Cancellation decisions are made right up until show time. At that time, there will be a recorded message on the parks phone (610-565-7410) indicating the show is cancelled. Rain in the hours preceding the show does not mean the show will be cancelled. Every effort is made to ensure the safety of the audience. If a thunder storm takes place, the concert will be ended.

The popular band Milkshake will be in concert on Friday July 10 at 7:00 pm at Longwood Gardens. Milkshake, is from TV's Noggin and Discovery Kids channels, is a band on a mission to create great rock music for kids. Free with Gardens admission.

The Raggs Band from the new pre-school PBS educational television series Raggs about five colorful, costumed dogs who make great rock 'n roll music as a band, learn lessons and share life together in their own clubhouse will perform a special live concert and have Meet and Greets with Big Bird and Super Grover Pass members.

Concerts will be held at 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. And, as another special treat, Gina, the veterinarian from Sesame Street, will dine and Meet and Greet with guests. Reservations for concerts and Dine with Gina are also required in advance.

Allison DeSalvo began producing this benefit concert after 911 while living in New York City. Out of a desire to help she made her annual holiday concert in Brooklyn a charity event as a way for children and families to help other children and families in need. The first concert locally was in 2005 and every year support for the event has grown. The concerts in Swarthmore have raised funds for the Red Cross for Katrina victims, St. Jude's cancer research, Art Reach bringing the arts the underserved and this year Rubye's Kids. All proceeds from this year's concert will be donated to Rubye's Kids, a small grass roots organization, named after Ruby Caesar, who many years ago began helping kids in her community from what little she had. Since her death in 1994, Ruby's legacy has continued through the organization by serving underprivileged and homeless children and families in shelters in the Philadelphia area by providing them with an annual Holiday Party, necessary school supplies, birthday parties and abundance of love and care that they might otherwise not receive.
