Memorial Day Parades In Delaware County


Parades

Crum Lynne
Area children are invited to decorate their bikes and assemble 9:30 a.m. on May 31st at the post. The best decorated bikes will receive an award.
Hot dogs and refreshments will be served in the post hall after the parade.

Springfield
Memorial Day parade will begin at Veterans Memorial Park at10 a.m. on Monday, May 31st

Media

On Monday May 31st at 10am on State Street in Media

Lower Merion
On Monday May 31st at 9:45 the parade will travel down Greenfield Avenue near the Merion Fire House and proceeds along Lancaster Avenue to Argyle Road and then to St. Paul's Cemetery

Eddystone
On Sunday, May 30th An Honor Guard and Rifle Salute at St. Michaels Cemetery in honor of F.A. Scott at 9:30 a.m. At 11 a.m. there will be church services at St. Mathews. At 12:30 p.m. our Honor Guard and a Rifle Salute will be held in Eddystone at the conclusion of their parade.

Fireworks

Swarthmore College
On the Main Lawn at Swarthmore College at 9:15 pm on Saturday May 29 (don’t forget your chairs)

Longwood Gardens
Sunday May 30th at 9:15 part of Longwood Fireworks and Fountains (you will need to purchase tickets for this event

Veterans Day Parade in Media

HONOR OUR VETERANS ON WEDNESDAY











The 50th annual Delaware County Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday 11/11. All veterans with past military service and those in uniform are encouraged to attend with family and friends to salute their brothers and sisters who have proudly served our country.
The parade follows the traditional route west in the borough on State Street from Edgemont to Orange Street, north to Front Street, then left and concluding before the reviewing stand at Delaware County Courthouse, where the ceremony will be held.


The Veterans Day events are coordinated by the U.S. Veterans Legacy Project and the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum.The Museum, 12 E. State St., will be open for visitors throughout the day. Admission is free.

Old Fashion Christmas in West Chester

Four, fun-filled days in Downtown West Chester featuring activities for the whole family highlighted by the 29th Annual Parade on Fri night, Dec 5th at 6:45pm

The Rockwell-esque holiday celebration invites families to experience Downtown West Chester during the holiday season. Children and those young at heart enjoy the Friday night arrival of Santa during the Holiday Parade, which starts at 6:45 pm. The parade ends with Santa lighting the Community Tree in front of the Courthouse. The four-day celebration features more than forty activities, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Activities include Chester County Gilbert and Sullivan Society performances of "Trial by Jury" in the Chester County Courthouse, guided walking tours of the historic downtown area, the YWCA Holiday House Tour, and performances by a wide variety of musicians from gospel choirs to quartets and entertainers ranging from jugglers to dancers. The Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester is proud to sponsor and coordinate the Old-Fashioned Christmas in Historic West Chester. 42nd Media Halloween Party & Parade

Media Halloween Parade

October 25th

1pm


School bands from across the area will set the mood for this family friendly event including Penncrest, Springton Lake and Paxxon Hallow Middle School bands and many more. There will also be fire engines, classic cars and classic Corvette's. To add to the fun there will be floats, clowns, scouts, community groups and hundred of kids dressed in their Halloween Costumes.


The parade will begin at the Media Elementary School and travel west on State Street, north on Orange Street and East on Front Street.


Rain Date in Sunday October 26th.
